1. About cookies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. We use cookies, and similar technologies such as local storage, to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and understand how the site is used so we can improve it.

2. Cookies we use

Essential

These are required for the site to function and cannot be switched off.

  • Authentication (Supabase) - keeps you signed in. Stored in local storage, persists until sign-out.
  • Consent preference (tk_cookie_consent_v1) - remembers whether you accepted or rejected optional cookies. Persists until you clear it.
  • Visitor identifier (tk_anon_id_v1) - a random first-party ID stored in local storage, used to keep your assessment session together, record purchases and protect your account. It is not shared with advertisers. Persists until you clear it.
  • Your work on this device - CV Studio drafts and photos (the IndexedDB database tk-cv-studio; earlier versions used the local storage key tk_cv_builder_v2), saved careers and jobs, and assessment progress, so nothing is lost if you close the page. Stays on your device until you delete it or clear your browser's site data.

Payments (strictly necessary)

  • Stripe (__stripe_mid, __stripe_sid) - set by our payment provider on pages where you can pay (checkout, CV Studio and the resignation letter page) to process payments securely and prevent fraud. Provider: Stripe. Duration: __stripe_mid up to 1 year, __stripe_sid 30 minutes. These are needed to take a payment safely, so they do not need your consent.

Analytics (optional - require consent)

  • Google Analytics 4 (_ga, _ga_*) - aggregated visitor and traffic statistics. Provider: Google. Duration: up to 2 years.
  • Google Tag Manager - container that loads the analytics tags above. Sets no cookies of its own.
  • Microsoft Clarity (_clck, _clsk, CLID, MUID) - records anonymised session interactions (clicks, scrolls, page paths) so we can spot usability issues. Provider: Microsoft. Duration: up to 1 year.
  • Attribution tracking (tk_first_touch_v1) - when you first arrive, we note in local storage the page you landed on, the site that sent you and any campaign tags in the link (such as utm_source). It is only sent to us, with usage events or with a purchase, if you accept optional cookies; otherwise it stays on your device. Persists until you clear it.

We do not use marketing or advertising cookies.

3. Your choices

When you first visit the site you can accept or reject the optional analytics cookies. You can change your choice at any time using the buttons below. You can also delete cookies via your browser settings.
