Biomedical Scientist CV questions

Do I need HCPC registration to work as a biomedical scientist?

Yes, to use the title. Trainees and laboratory assistants work under supervision while they complete the IBMS portfolio and apply for registration.

What if my degree is not IBMS accredited?

You may need to complete extra modules before you can register. The IBMS can assess your degree and tell you what is needed. Say on your CV where you are in that process.

How long should a biomedical scientist CV be?

Two pages. Keep detail for your current laboratory work and quality improvements, and summarise older roles.
