Care homes hire care assistants for kindness, reliability and safe practice. This example is for a residential care home role: it puts the Care Certificate and dementia experience up front and shows how the person made residents' days better. If you have cared for a relative or volunteered, that belongs on your CV too.

Care Assistant CV questions
Can I be a care assistant with no experience?
Yes. Most care homes train new starters, including the Care Certificate. Show kindness and reliability from other parts of your life, such as caring for a relative, volunteering or customer service.
What is the difference between a care assistant and a care worker?
The jobs overlap. Care assistant is the usual title in care homes, while care worker is common in home care, where you visit people in their own homes. See our care worker CV example for a home care version.
Should I mention my DBS on my CV?
You can say you have a current enhanced DBS check or are on the Update Service. Employers will still carry out their own check.
