Project Manager CV questions
Should I put PRINCE2 on my project manager CV?
Yes, if you hold it, with the level, in a certifications line near the top. Many UK public sector and large-organisation adverts list it as essential or desirable.
Is PMP or PRINCE2 better in the UK?
Both are recognised. PRINCE2 is widely used in the UK, especially in the public sector, and APM qualifications are well known too. PMP is recognised internationally. Check which your target adverts mention.
How do I write a project manager CV with no project manager experience?
Pick out projects from your current job, such as a system rollout or event, and write them up with budget, team and outcome. Add an entry-level qualification such as APM PFQ or PRINCE2 Foundation and apply for coordinator or PMO roles.
How long should a project manager CV be?
Two pages. Give detailed bullets for your last two or three roles and a line each for older ones.
